As the academic year progresses, it’s essential for educational institutions to plan strategically for growth and expansion. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the comprehensive growth plan for the upcoming academic year at A One-Room Schoolhouse, focusing on key areas such as campus expansion, classroom additions, and administrative restructuring.

Growth Plan
Hickory (Main) Campus: Our Hickory Campus is currently at full capacity, leaving no room for expansion. In light of this, we have decided not to accept new applications, except for siblings of existing students.
Washington (South) Campus: To accommodate growth, we plan to add a new classroom at the Washington Campus, divided into sections for younger grades (K-2/3) and middle grades (3/4-8). These grade divisions are not set in stone, but based on the application received and the needs of the students.
Plum (East) Campus: Similar to the Washington Campus, we aim to add a new classroom at the Plum Campus, segregated into sections for younger grades (K-2/3) and middle grades (3/4-8). These grade divisions are not set in stone, but based on the application received and the needs of the students.
Franklin Park (North) Campus: There is a potential consideration for adding a classroom at the Franklin Park Campus, catering to younger, middle, and upper grades (K-9/10). The decision will impact sibling admissions, and careful consideration is underway. The final decision to add a classroom will be contingent on applications and balancing the needs of current families.
* It should be noted, that all expansion plans are contingent on three factors: negotiating lease agreements, hiring amazing teachers, and receiving excellent applications. Our growth plan presented here, is just that, a plan! We hope to execute this plan, but all three factors have to come into alignment.
